This may get a better response on the Exchanges board, but I am not sure if the Interval trade process is a different experience for Hyatt members.

I put in an online request this summer for Four Seasons Aviara. The request specified One bedroom, including kitchen, between Jan 9th 2009 and March 30th 2009.

Though I had the search going, I was also looking through available inventory trying to see what other options I had in case the Four Seasons didn't come through. As I was looking, a Four Seasons Aviara week, 1 bedroom, with kitchen for the week beginning January 16th 2009 popped up. I went ahead and confirmed that my search didn't already grab me a week (it didn't), and then I went ahead and confirmed the week, and canceled my search.

Why didn't I get the week automatically through my on-going search? I thought all wait list requests were filled before the week was released? The person I talked to at Hyatt/II wasn't much help when I asked.

This doesn't bother me that much since I got the week I wanted, but for future reference, I want to make sure I'm doing the ongoing search correctly. Maybe I'll submit the request over the phone next time.
