HVC/DRI Transitions Program vs Resale/Giveaway

Contacted Transitions Dept today about deed back of a DRI Ridge on Sedona fully paid off timeshare. It has 11,000 annual points and MF are up to date. The rep I spoke to indicated it was eligible for the Transitions Program and the processing fee to get out would be $3,872.

Because of this high processing fee, we are considering the resale or give away market and would likely utilize LT Transfers for the paperwork. Does anyone know if HVC/DRI charges a transition fee for a resale or gifting and, if so, what that amount is and how it's determined?

Thanks, so much!

Do you own a deed at Sedona Ridge? 2BR LO? MFs?

If your timeshare is in Arizona, it should qualify for a $250 fee to deed it back. Are you sure it wasn't somehow converted or "upgraded" at one time to one of the DRI collections?

Yes, my in-laws do. Unsure on the # of bedrooms - still getting our arms around all the specifics. 2025 dues were $2891 inclusive of $302 for "The Club Dues" standard membership.

I'm unsure. We're in the early discovery stages of understanding exactly what my wife's parents have over a 22 year TS ownership period.

yep, owners in arizona or anyone who purchased in arizona should qualify for the reduced (original) surrender fee, you should pursue it as that is a ton of money!
