How many HGVC points is a 2bd 2bath Hurricane House 16-51 float worth? I'm not sure how the floating week is valued if you plan on using it for a reservation within the hilton network. Do you have to reserve the actual week first and then try within HGVC?

I'm not sure either, so take this fwiw:

I believe they actually have to reserve a week during the float season before they can turn it into HGVC points. I would guess they would then get whatever the point value is for the week they turn in.

I'm not sure. Here's the seasons chart
week 51 - Platinum - 7000 pts
14-18,24-33,43-48 is gold - 5000 pts
19-23,34-42,49-50 is silver - 3500 pts

I think this is the auction you are talking about on ebay:

That looks like its deeded to week 49 which would be silver week.

The week 49 doesn't really mean anything. You don't actually own a certain week when it is floating.

You will have to reserve your week before you turn it over to HGVC. You can reserve it one year out. The most popular times for owners to use are Nov. and certain spring weeks. You usually have to get it in a drawing for these weeks.
