I had mentioned to @bdh that I would eventually get to post number six in my series of posts and here we are - the part of the sales pitch where the salesperson sits down with their own tablet and shows how much more inventory HPC has over HRC.
Here is a tactic for them to make it seem like we are missing out even more:
They zoom through and show all the "PORTFOLIO POINTS" headings and try to make it seem like there is so much more inventory... but don't be distracted by this tactic!
You could ask them to search in High Sierra and only ask for three-day blocks without looking at single-day or two-days for an apples-to-apples comparison...

Here is a tactic for them to make it seem like we are missing out even more:
- First, they search in the Wild Oak Range, Windward Pointe, and Highlands Inn (and soon to be Coconut Plantation) resorts. As shown earlier, those have natural HPC inventory (versus annually converted HRC weeks which might not be reliable during a sales pitch); and
- They search for "all nights". Our reservations website automatically breaks up a HPC week into a huge number of options: Seven one-day stays, six two-days stays, five three-day stays, four four-day stays, three five-day stays, two six-day stays, and the one seven-day stay... 28 reservation slots in total. By contrast, an HRC week is broken into a seven-day, a four-day, a three-day, and two 2-days, or 5 reservation slots.
They zoom through and show all the "PORTFOLIO POINTS" headings and try to make it seem like there is so much more inventory... but don't be distracted by this tactic!
