How's availability and rentability for Westin Riverfront?

Hey all,

I'm thinking about buying into Westin Riverfront Mountain Villas and was wondering if anyone has experience with reserving during either week 51 or 52. Those weeks are the only times I can go because of the kids but I'm sure most everyone else is in the same situation. I don't mind the 12:01am online clickathon exactly 1 year before but sometimes even that's not enough...

Also, how easy is it to rent it out if I can't go? I don't see much rentals on Redweek to compare.

I'm pretty sure those were sold as event weeks, so availability will be 100% if you buy a deeded week for 51 or 52 and basically nothing if you buy a regular ski week.

Anyone have confirmation of this or is there any way to find out?

I know that my regular Platinum Plus ownership in Westin Kaanapali North allowed me to reserve in week 51 this year and there's nothing about event weeks in the StarOptions chart... Platinum Plus for Westin Riverfront is 1-15, 48-52... 148100 weekly.

Come to think of it... I booked week 51 at Westin Kaanapali 8 months out...

I'm pretty sure weeks 51 and 52 are fixed event weeks at the Westin Riverfront just like they are at Sheraton Mountain Vista and Lakeside Terrace which are located a few blocks away. Best way to confirm this is to call Starwood owner service. My guess is a week 51 or 52 at Westin Riverfront will be very expensive.
 
At Westin Lagunamar, half of Weeks 51 and 52 were sold as event weeks and the rest are available to Platinum float owners.

Harborside II and WSJ Bayview were the same. I believe this is resort specific, so it is not necessarily be the norm.
