How to sell my TS?

Oh, it sleeps 8 but I'd say 6 comfortably. So if you are selling I would 1st call the resort directly and ask specifically about the unit you own. Then you can list it on redweek.com, bidshares.com, ebay.com, tug, and myresortnetwork.com and craigslist.com

Its a nice resort in a good location so it should sell. Good luck.

See this article posted at the top of the page - How to sell your timeshare. Brace yourself to take a loss of 50% or more since timeshares depreciate rapidly.

No one is accusing you of posting an ad. However, we have posting rules that essentially prohibit identifying your timeshare and stating that you are interested in selling (or renting). Why? Because someone interested in buying a timeshare resort might see your post and then contact you to negotiate a deal. That would give you a selling advantage over those that follow the rules and place ads in the Classifieds section. A moderator changed the title and deleted the resort name to comply with those rules.

For another time (not for this question, even on another TUG forum), if you have a question about a resort where you own (such as how many people does the timeshare sleep), please ask the question without suggesting you are interested in selling or renting and you'll be fine.

For this time, you have received the best advice, "call the resort directly and ask specifically about the unit you own."

I'm guessing, because it's very common, that your unit sleeps a maximum of 8 people, but only 6 people in private accommodations with direct access to a bathroom.

I'm not Bill, but I, and any other moderator, would have handled your post in exactly the same way. In fact, I was about to edit it, when he did.

Although you may not have been soliciting offers, the fact that you announced that you wanted to sell, and stated the name of the resort, may result in other people responding with offers - so it's not allowed.

If you have any questions or concerns about TUG Rules, please email or pm Brian, the Administrator at Username - TUG Improvements!

You were going to write an Ad based on a stranger's post on an internet board? What if the info. was wrong?

If I were you I would document this with the resort, even if it requires some time and effort. Another avenue might be RCI or II, since they post that kind of info. on their website.

So we are supposed to ignore the long standing rules of the site merely because you dont think they apply to you? Thats extremely unfair.

You will get all the help you need here, however you cannot break the rules while doing it. You agreed to these rules when you registered for the site to begin with, if you chose to ignore those rules when you registered that does not make you immune to them. If you feel somehow insulted by a moderator conforming your post to abide by the rules, then I am sorry for that as it certainly was not their intention.

However if even after they explained the situation to you that you still feel like you are somehow being mistreated...I have no good answer for you....but doing the whole "the one time I need help...oh well ill go elsewhere" guilt trip thing is inappropriate IMO. Especially towards a group of people whos only intentions are to help you achieve your goal.
