How to rent out a Thai property?

I have one unused week with Marriot Phuket Beach Club that I'd like to rent out. I did contact MVCI, and they advised me that I'd need to provide a Thai Tax ID even though I'm not a Thai national. According to them, the application form is in Thai but they offered to fill it out for me. The catch is, they take a commission: 35% of the net rental proceeds on top of the 15% for Thai tax.

That's 50% gone right off the bat but they're my best choice since I've never rented a TS property before and I'm not familiar with the procedure and Thai tax.

Assuming I can find the form at a Thai embassy and fill it out with the help of an interpreter (or google translate?), is there a way I can apply for a Tax ID myself and list it for rent on this board?

Why don't you just rent it out yourself, and avoid all the baloney?

After you find a renter you simply call Marriott and tell them that a guest will be using your reservation and ask them to email you a new confirmation in your guest's name.

That would be my advice but it doesn't avoid the Thai regulations
