@dioxide45 and @EnglishmanAbroad,

Thank you for your comments.
There is no cost planned. As i mentioned it's an association and they are already having funds to defend such cases.
The only cost that can come is to be a member. This costs 70 euros per year. And there are no obligations to pay it now, no obligations to renew the membership of any hidden clauses...
As others have said, I would just caution you about these companies. Most of them are just as bad as Vistana; you may think there are no hidden costs nor any hidden clauses, but look at what happened with Vistana. Please at the very least check with the Direction générale de la concurrence, de la consommation et de la répression des fraudes to ensure this company is reputable.

@ocdb8r,

No worries. It's a notable association. Not a company.
And their role, is protecting european consumers.
And they have been dealing with the timeshare scams for many years.

You have been using "scam" but it is not a scam. You were given ts & cs in writing and you had 10 days to rescind. You signed on the dotted line. Did you over pay by buying from the developer? Most likely. Buying from developer often comes with many perks that do not come with resale purchase.

@VacationForever,

Oh yeeeah. We over payed and a lot.
And mainly we based our engagement on trust. When we read all the details in papers, that we have read only when it was too late.(it was hurricane period and did not help)
Hearing the Sales Rep, telling you don't worry if you have any issue and want to sell the contract, we get it back at anytime. No worries, we are part of Mariott, a Billion dollar company ...

If your loan payments are going on a credit card, then I would cancel that card before they start.

aka
Do not pay upfront to get out of your timeshare.

As the saying goes… Don’t throw good money after bad.

Cancel CC
Default on Loan
Contact all parties that they can have the timeshare back for free w/o Legal Hassle

Take it as a 20% loss lesson learned

Don’t sign Contracts w/o proper Research first (e.g. clause in contract that states that anything that was said verbally - or scratches on paper - is not binding unless stated in the contract).

More like being duped than being scammed - although they both depend on ignorance (lack of proper Research)

Good luck @bnass - let us know how it turns out for you
