My mother is giving me her timeshare deeds. The time share is under the Wyndham Vacation Resorts system. I want to put the deeds into my name. I went to a Resort closing site and they say they could do it for $100 for all 4 deeds. I left a message to Hawaii Conveyance, but they have not called me back. Is there a way I can put the deeds into my name for a lesser price?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Al

$25 per deed? That's a steal in my opinion.

The price does seem ridiculously low but if they are Access contracts I suppose it could be .

Does you mother have any VIP status with Wyndham and if so is your aim to preserve that.

The price is absolutely a generous offer. In addition the cost to notarize each deed will be approx. 15 each. And the deeds may need to be recorded which can be 20-40 each.

That's probably the second least expensive expense you could pay to assure great timeshare vacations. The only thing cheaper is the $15/year for TUG membership!

We have platinum status. I am listed as co-owner. I was thinking we don't have to change Wyndham. Just changing the deeds would ensure if anything happens to them, my wife and I would keep the points. Wyndham wants $299 per deed to update.

It depends if there will be a transfer fee if you do it yourself. The 299 might be cost effective if there is a transfer fee of 150 or more and if their price includes deed prep, recording and transfer.
