Initial 'sanity check': This page deals only with the Username required to log in to the TUGBBS forums.
You selected your current TUGBBS Username when you registered as a TUGBBS user, or you may have updated it since then. You may change your TUGBBS Username by editing the 'Username' entry in your BBS User Profile.
If, instead, you are a TUG Member and want to change your Username for logging into the Members-only sections of the TUG website (Resort Reviews, Resort Ratings, etc.), email your request to tug@tug2.net, giving your current TUG Member Username, your desired Username, and reason for the request. You might want to provide several names in order of preference in case your first choice is already in use.
For your convenience, It is TUG's strong recommendation that you set both your TUG Member Username and your BBS Username to the same value so that you can use the same Username anywhere on TUG.

In order to do this, you must be logged into TUGBBS via your current TUGBBS Username and current TUGBBS password. If you can't log in because you don't know your bbs password, see this post.
TUGBBS Username change procedure:- While logged into TUGBBS, click on your Avatar and Username in the blue bar near the upper right corner of the page. On narrow screens you may only see your Avatar there.
