How to become comfortable with renting

i was 16 :p , i'm pretty much talking about since the internet was around and email spam from Princes in foreign countries wanted to send us money...Since then, we've all learned not to trust the nameless/faceless 'people' online...theres nothing wrong with using caution when dealing with people you don't know, this is why i suggest always getting the lowest price possible when renting...You're not going to feel good either way, but losing $500 isn't as bad as losing $3500

Ride - How many times have you be OFFERED a rental by a nameless Prince in a foreign country? I can tell you - never! These clowns are all offering to RENT your timeshare, so your scenario does not apply...

There is zero reason to lose any money on a rental - it is very EASY to verify that a rental is Legit. Since it seems to frighten you, I'd be happy to advise you. ;)

I see in another thread, that you just rented at full price. I can't believe that you didn't bargain him down to $10 a night!

In his defense... he did use the collective term "we've" and not I. :D

Yes, but according to his own posts, 15 years ago, he was hanging out on the corner in saggy pants smoking a Marboro. ;)
