How much is gasoline in your area?

Regular 87 octane is about $3.60 at Costco. It definitely seems high considering some of the prices I see on this thread.

Bill

Depends on where the station is, here north of Houston. $2.49 at the several stations near our grocery, $2.29 at Sam's and Costco, about 10 miles away. Much better than the $4.49 and higher we saw on the BI in Hawaii last week.

Regular gas at Costco..Npt News warehouse $2.74 per gal
Regular gas at Exxon ..Chesapeake,Va $2.92 per gal

Regular gas at Costco, Myrtle Beach, SC….$2.45. Gassed up, got into Costco for 9 am early opening, out of store by 10:10. With no impulse purchases . (I avoided the Christmas displays). A good morning. Oh…and 5 dozen eggs for $9.99. Last year would have been close to $50. Already had a few dozen in the fridge, so didn’t buy. Got some reasonable bottles of white wine.

Current prices vary a bit here in Toronto, depending upon brand and location, but at my local Petro-Canada station today, regular (87 octane) gas was $1.33.9 CAD per litre. That works out to ($1.33.9 x 3.785 =) $5.06.8 CAD per US gallon. Converted to US dollars, that equals $3.55 USD per US gallon.

Still $5.89 a gallon for Regular Unleaded here on Molokai. It hasn't changed in a couple years now. 🤙🏻

Yes $3.55 USD for an American visiting Toronto but for a Canadian is still $5.06 CAD and $5.06 CAD for a Canadian is more than $5.06 USD for an American because if an American earns $100k USD, a Canadian will earn less than $100k CAD for the same job in general.

I heard the president say the other day it's below $2/gallon. He didn't say where or in what country. I only worry about cost per Kwh.

Saw $2.99 regular today, it's 85 Octane because it's CO.

Does anybody have gas below $2.00 a gallon
Our area in North Dakota had fluctuation between 2.69 and 2.89 a gallon for the last year

I wish they would stop this business of rounding to 9/10 of a cent. Just let it go. $2.83 9/10 is $2.84. Plus the penny is really a relic of the caveman.

Our local gas is really getting close to $2. It was $2.06 before we left for this cruise (we are on currently).

Stores are begging people for exact change and pennies now. Discontinuing the penny makes sense since it costs more to produce than it is worth, but there needs to be a different plan. I do like the way Canada went, round up or down depending on the amount but card and electronic payment is still to the cent. That would take an act of Congress though and we know how that goes.

Perhaps, but what has that got to do with the price of gas, which is the topic? And nobody in Canada pays $5.06 anyway, because gas is dispensed in litres here, not US gallons. Even before metric, we operated in Imperial gallons, not US gallons.

Why would that surprise anyone? When do you think the last time it was that the president actually pumped gas into any of his vehicles? So what direct intimate knowledge would he have of gas prices, beyond what he perhaps wants them to be?

I paid 4.09 a gallon here in San Jose this morning. Gas Buddy does show a couple of stations on the other side of town under four bucks,

It's been hovering around $2.25 per gallon here. Honestly, a few years ago, I never thought I would pay under $3/gallon again. But, if you buy at the same Costco time after time, I'm basically dollar cost averaging gas, and not trying to time the market. ;)
