$3.65 in Canby Oregon, though I am not sure as I charge at home. I do occasionally need to put gas in my van. I drive it about 50-75 miles a month. I pay $.075 KWh to fill our EV.

Regular gasoline prices went up this morning in Coastal Virginia from $2.99 per gallon to $3.09 per gallon for regular gas?

In the Cincinnati area, most gas stations here use 'market pricing'. This means that they start high, drop it gradually, and then raise it .30 per gallon. It was $2.89 yesterday and $3.19 today. All stations in the area raise it simultaneously. Gas prices were previously pretty consistent across the area, but there are more differences now. When you know the pattern, it is smart to buy at the low end of the cycle. Costco price has stayed pretty consistent at 2.46-2.66 and is typically .30 less than others in the area. Gas Buddy is definitely worth having here. I always buy gas at Costco when I'm there.

I rented a car last weekend in San Antonio, paid $2.90 a gallon at Chevron near the airport to fill up before returning. It was about $2.60 at HEB near our hotel in Brooks. Everyone was driving big gas hog trucks, lol.

I paid $4.19 here in OC at ARCO.

I was surprised that gas at costco in KOA/Hawaii was cheaper than Costco in Carlsbad, during my HGVC Hawaii & Carlsbad stays....
Seems consistent even now, after several months...

I just returned to Boston after 5 weeks in Pittsburgh so I can comment about both areas.

My first day of the trip, I drove from Boston to Wilkes-Barre, PA (which is in the Scranton area, there's a President Joe Biden Expressway as he grew up there) and I paid $2.79 per gallon. Then, I drove to Pittsburgh and entered into Gas Price Hell.

Pittsburgh was, for the most part, $3.69 per gallon. I was told that it's due to "Pennsylvania having the highest state gas tax in the nation". Which made no sense since I had just paid 90 cents less per gallon in a different area of the same state.

But then I consulted my Gas Buddy ap and saw that a station right near where I was staying, the Sunoco at 340 Curry Hollow Rd in near suburb Baldwin was charging $3.29 per gallon and, if using your "linked to your checking account" Gas Buddy card, there's an additional 17 cents discount so I ended up paying $3.12 per gallon.

There's a Get Go gas station chain in and around Pittsburgh where you can get a 30 cents discount if you use your Giant Eagle (a supermarket chain) card (also linked to your checking account) and sometimes the Get Go price was listed at $3.49 per gallon so that, with the 30 cent discount, you end up paying $3.19 per gallon.

But Pittsburghers don't seem to comparison shop as the $3.69 stations were well used.

Back in Boston, the prices range between $2.99 to $3.19 for the most part. But Gas Buddy identified for me a nearby station that listed a $2.79 price but with a 17 cent Gas Buddy discount such that I paid $2.62 per gallon.

It seems to be a very regional thing, even within Colorado. Here is an article talking about it from October 20th. Prices near where Cindy is seem to be an outlier for one reason or another.

According to GasBuddy, the average price of gas in Colorado is currently $2.79 per gallon, nearly 20 cents below the national average of $2.98. Prices have dropped about 40 cents compared to this time last year.

Still, De Haan cautions that sub-$2 prices are unlikely to become widespread.

"For those that are eagerly awaiting sub-$2 prices, I hate to put the kibosh on it, but this is probably not something that's going to pop up in most stations," he said. "We might see more than a handful of stations in late winter [offer lower prices] once we start getting away from using this winter gasoline. But the fact of the matter is, I don't think that most Coloradans are going to see a sub-$2 price."
