You've all heard the same, old, joke (just fill in the blanks)
Yesterday, we had a power failure. The bulk in our Jenn-Air microwave (which only lights when it is running) burned out.
I was quite surprised that there is no way to access (if I can ever find it) the bulb without removing the microwave from the wall. There is no visible light bulb from the inside and only one opening inside the microwave with small cover. I removed the cover...it isn't there.
After looking online, it appears there is no way for a novice to change the lightbulb.
So, the answer to this joke seems to be...It will take a professional and a $100, or more.
Why would anyone design a microwave where you can't access a $2.00 bulb to replace it?
