I called closing company yesterday to change seller's 2008 reservation and asked how long would it take to be done, and the closing company said they sent ROFR waive form to starwood, even though they don't exercise it, we still need the waiver form, and if we get waiver form, it takes 4 more weeks until closing. So if starwood send ROFR waiver quickly to me, I can close this WMH transfer until November and I have a chance to deposit 2008 week to II.
Does anyone know how long usually takes to get ROFR waiver from starwood?
Thank you!

ROFR at Starwood takes between 7-10 days. You can hope it takes less time, but I will tell you it probably won't. There is one lady who processes them at Starwood. I was able to get her name when I was closing a WMH. Because of a retro deal I had in place, I was locked into closing within an exact period of time. I spoke to her and her supervisor during this time to explain the situation, and that it was helping not only me, but also Starwood make a developer sale. She is one of those people with the attitude of "I've got 10 days to process this, and that is exactly how long it takes". I was also at a disadvantage because she had just taken a vacation and was overwhelmed. Mine was completed on Day 10. Good luck.
