When I cancel a home week reservation the answer is "not immediately". Last night I waited about 30 min, tried logging out and back in, and no points had reappeared. This morning they are there.

But maybe this is not unique to home week reservations. I just modified another reservation which should have resulted in the return of 12,000 points, and those have now show up in the first 15 minutes.

Don't know about home week reservations since I never make them, but I agree that club reservations take about 15 mins.

Usually 15 minutes. But HGVC's website is notoriously 'odd' on Sundays because that is generally when the IT staff likes to mess with it. For what it's worth, this is also true of MVC's website.

EDITED: @GT75 and @brp are right. It's inventory that shows up in about 15 minutes, not points.

Usually, the points show back up in your account immediately when canceling either a HW or club reservation, inventory should show up 5-20 minutes normally (but I have heard even 1/2 hr).

This is my experience. Points immediately, inventory around 10-20 for me,

Cheers.

I don't know what's going on. I've made a mess of things and it happened during the website update so I don't have confidence the totals are correct.

What I have:

Res #1 in April using 11,854 2025 points and 8306 2026 points
Res #2 in Oct using 2688 2025 points and 9280 2026 points

Remaining in my bank:
2025: 10,978
2026: 7054

I want to shuffle those reservations esp the April one to use my 2025 points first. I've tried adding and deleting days several times and seem to end up right where I started.

I have figured out what is happening and I think it's an error.

When I lengthen my reservation so I can then shorten it and return the 2026 points, it is automatically drawing from my 2026 bHC bank BEFORE using my available 2025 HGVC bank. It is not giving me the option to choose. It's almost like it doesn't see my 2025 HGVC balance.

Is anyone else having this problem, either before or after the latest update?

Presumably this is an HGVC, not bHC reservation? In that case it should certainly use the HGVC points first since they are in the current year. If, of course, it were a bHC reservation, it would need to pull those points as it's too soon to use HGVC points for bHC, except for some 75-day resorts in early April.

Cheers.

Has this happened to me before. Just call in and rep will correct it. If they don't know ow how, they will have to get a supervisor to correct it.

Since you have AI, what I have done is make a fake bHC reservation to use up those points, and then make my HGVC reservation. Then go and cancel my bHC reservation.

you mean if you use all your 26 (and some 27) BHC points in a dummy 26 booking, the system will then pull from 25 HGVC and 26 HGVC points for a 25 HGVC booking?

I need to make dummy reservations to "park" the points that I don't want the system to use. Sometimes when I call and try to get an agent to reallocate points, it works. One time, it was a complete disaster, so now I find that parking points works best.

yes we do that for cy bhc points to preserve bhc and borrow next cy hgvc, but shouldn't have to do that for cy 26 bhc points to force the system to use cy 25 hgvc points

Agree that we definitely shouldn't need to park Club points. So the system shows you with plenty of 2025 Club points available for a 2025 reservation, and the reservation wants to borrow 2026 bHC and/or 2026 Club instead?

yes, that was happening last night. went on all day.

And today it is working better. I was able to shuffle one reservation and get rid of all the borrowed 26 HGVC points and use the existing 25 HGVC points.

But it's not perfect. It's still not letting me shuffle to get rid of 25 BHC points for 25 HGVC points. It's not giving me the option which ones to return, and is preferentially returning HGVC points - of course I want it to return BHC points.

Maybe wait another day
