I've ended up with a desert platinum MVC week (at a specific resort, not named to keep this from being perceived as an ad). There have been reports on how much DC points prices have declined, but I haven't seen anything on how much prices have declined for weeks. Obviously this isn't an oceanfront hawaii week, but I think it should still have positive value. Prior to the coronavirus these seemed to go for ~$3500 or so. There is no ROFR here, so that wasn't a factor, which means MVC no longer buying back weeks shouldn't matter.

Any thoughts on what type of discount is likely to attract a buyer during these times? I don't want to give this away, but don't want to have unrealistic expectations either.

Would appreciate anecdotes on the current state of the resale market for Marriott weeks!

Can you sell it back to Marriott? I have two resales awaiting Marriott to complete the sale. Their prices were decent. Plus easy.

It's already a buyer's market, and now more than ever, I tempted to say, be the cheapest on Redweek... and be prepared to sell with FYU in 2021 (first year of usage).
I've just purchased a week, firm offer for half the requested price on Redweek with FYU in 2021, offer accepted within hours...

As I mentioned in another thread last week, I recently purchased a resale week at Manor Club for $200 less than an offer I made just two months ago. Marriott waived ROFR on the new purchase while it exercised ROFR on the older, higher cost purchase. I definitely think we are in a buyers market for resale purchases.

I'm definitely prepared to sell for less than the cheapest on redweek, it would be 2021 first year usage.
