How do I get my resort to join RCI

I'm tired of Interval and its lack of access/inventory. I was wondering if there's anyway I could convince the resort to join RCI or should I call RCI corporate to get a dual affiliation for our resort. It's a small size membership, but a big resort with a hotel side. I already shot the member services of the resort to see if they could do something about joining RCI.

They most likely have an exclusive agreement with II.

With II - are you submitting Ongoing Searches 12 or more mos. before check-in, or are you just looking at the online inventory?

Do you have a strong trader?

I consider myself to be very savvy with Interval exchanging, and all I can say is that I don't like the way they rolled out their new programs. I book 1-2 years in advance and look for opportunities for dates closer to booking. It has an above average trading power but has been limited since the eite designation program rolled out, and while okay for flexchange, I really dont want to be in that position. Even flexchange has fewer opportunities than in the past. I guess I just want to open up possibilities for our resort's membership. I like that I can accumulate TPUs in RCI and have more options.

I wasn't aware of the exclusive agreement as other resorts seem to have dual affiliation. If so, I'm going to advocate to migrate to RCI completely where I believe it should have a gold crown designation.

Chances are you can't get your resort to change exchange companies. I'd LOVE to get one of mine to change from RCI to I.I. but, I would need to convince the HOA and management company that would be in the best interest of all owners. Something not likely to happen. Owners would also need to wait until the contract with the current exchange company expires.

In my case, I have hope. My resort's management contract was taken over by a new management company when the previous management company/developer went bankrupt. I've seen a rift develop with the new company and RCI as RCI downgraded the resort from Gold Crown to Silver Crown. This after the resort had been Gold Crown since inception and, more importantly, after the new management company and HOA jumped through hoops set by RCI (and invested a lot of money) to maintain Gold Crown status (according to employee's, not sales staff, but still maybe not the best source).

In short, I think you're stuck with I.I.
