How do I cancel an erroneous II confirmation online?

II made an error in matching and confirming my exchange request today. Yes, I know. Call them within 24 hours and ask them to correct it. But I've been trying most of the day to call and continue to get their *go to our website and deal with your problem yourself, we are to busy to help you* response. My question: Is there any way I can cancel the request confirmation myself online so I'm not stuck with it? If anyone has a private number or knows an II rep, I'd appreciate knowing. email me privately. jcouch36@gmail.com
Thx, Jack

You can't cancel it online - you must call within 24 hours. If you stay on the line and go through the voice mail prompts, you will reach a Rep.

Thanks. But the last prompt is to hang up and either call later or go on line. Then I'm disconnected. How late in the evening do they answer their phones in case I have to continue calling?? Jack

They are there from 9:00 AM until 11:0 PM Eastern Time.

Thanks. I've been calling every 30 min since 9am Eastern. It's now 5:30. No contact yet. Will continue calling until 11 pm. If I'm stuck with the exchange, I guess all I can do is do some sort of a stop payment on my bank account, although I don't see how I can make that work. I've already paid up front for the exchange.

Sigh....

What number are you calling?

I'm calling the Exchange Services number on the back of my II membership card: 800-828-8200. Also tried the local number 305 666 1884 with same results.

It's 7:30 and I'm continuing to call every 15 minutes or so since 9 am. Recorded message says because of high call volume I must hang up and call later or go to website. Then I'm disconnected. Never had this problem before. Although I'm usually on hold for quite a while I've always been able eventually to speak to a representative.

I had this happen the other day. I was able to get through on Platinum line but not regular. That will not help if you are not Plat member though.

Ahhh! Finally was put through to a representative at 9:45, although I was on hold for ages. Are these long wait times part of our future with II??

Had Gold membership for a while, but dropped it. Maybe that was a mistake.

Thanks everyone for your responses. Jack

I was told II was very backed up with server issues.
