How are Points Allocated for Reservation?

I have two sets of points in the credit pool (77K and 152K). My upcoming use year points (152K) start in October. We are planning to travel to Kona Hawaiian Village next year and the points necessary (260K) will require points in my credit pool and upcoming use-year points. My question is in what order will they "take" the required points for the reservation? Credit pool points first and then the remainder from my upcoming use-year, or vice-versa? I ask because if they take the credit pool points first, I'll probably take the leftover points from my upcoming use-year and credit pool those as well. If they take the upcoming points first, there's no need to credit pool.

They take the points that expire first. So it is likely your pooled points have a longer period of time before they expire. So it is likely they will take your current or next use year points prior to your pooled points.

Just look at the expiration of your points on the points page at Wyndham online.

If you want them to take something different than that just let them know and they can get a manager to adjust it for them.
