Can anyone provide information on the Hotel Marina El Cid, Spa & Beach Resort in Cancun, Riviera Maya. I am interested in hearing about the Place itself, restaurants (all inclusive), location in relation to the airport and recommended sightseeing. Also is anytime of year better then another.

Thanks

from their website,

We haven't been yet, but I am making reservations for Nov 2010 as soon as the window opens.

Everything I have read the El Cid group treats everyone like royalty. Can't wait to use our El Cid Points:cheer:

jmho,

Greg

Greg, I think the site you posted is for a different Hotel. I appears that it is in Mazatlan. The site states that it is "Only 20 miles from Mazatlan airport" The one I am looking at is in Cancun. It is the Hotel Marina El Cid, Spa & Beach Resort. One of the reasons I am trying to get info is that they are so easy to get mixed up. Some reviews I read which I thought was for one place was actually for a different one. Hopefully someone can post the same type of fact sheet for the Hotel Marina El Cid, Spa & Beach Resort. I hope you enjoy the trip. Thanks for the reply.

oops

Here is the new one in Puerto Morelos link,

We are ECVC members and we did go to this resort in January, 2007. It was very nice and the food was excellent. They were doing more building at the time we went. We liked it very much but do not like the AI as it costs us more than we spend if we do our own thing. The other thing we did not like was that you really could not walk anywhere from the resort. We did walk to town (Puerto Morelas)which was about a mile but not much there. We prefer resorts where we can walk places. That is why we like the El Cid Marina or Towers in Mazatlan or the El Cid LaCeiba in Cozumel.

Of course the things that we did not like about it might not be a problem to others. As I said it was very beautiful and we enjoyed the beach, went deep sea fishing right from their pier which we could walk to and the other couple took a tour for which they were picked up at the resort.
