Hotel in Seattle

Am planning a cruise for my family and would like to know if anyone has used a hotel in Seattle that was reasonably priced, clean and in a good area?
Appreciate any information. Thanks

As much as I love TUG, my first stop for a question like this would be www.cruisecritic.com - they are even more fanatical about all things cruising than TUG is about all things timesharing.

Of course, maybe this is your second stop. Can't help you - we only stay at hotels by the airport and I think that wouldn't be your best bet for proximity.

Andi, we usually start by checking TripAdvisor when looking for a hotel in an unfamiliar city. Then when we find a couple that look like they might fit our needs, we ask for local advice on a choice after we narrow it down. Maybe if you provide a little background on what you need. Airport location? Port? Seattle Center? Central business district? Do you have any affinity programs? Need a handicap room? Shuttle service? Restaurants, clubs, tourist stuff nearby? University area? Do you want Hilton/Marriott quality, or is Quality Inn/ Motel 6/ Super 8 OK?

We took a cruise from Seattle in August and took a limo from/to Redmond for the 5 of us. Nearly $100 each way, all in, tip included, but it was a bargain. Parking at the pier is over $20 a day and with lax security. Door-to-door service exactly when and where we wanted it. I recommend this. The limo holds more people/luggage than a taxi and costs less.

We just got back from Washington/Oregon a week ago-flew in and out of Seattle. We spent the night in Seattle at the Cedarbrook Lodge (ranked either 1 or 2 on tripadvisor). It was lovely! 5 minutes to the airport, but in
a residential neighborhood and nears lots of restaurants. We booked through hotels.com and got a good price. A nice breakfast is included too. I would most definitely recommend it!

I like the W Hotel in downtown. Great location, if you have time to visit the city.

Which cruise line? Ships leave from Pier 91 and Pier 66. Norwegian Cruise Line and Celebrity Cruises depart from the Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal at Pier 66. Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Carnival and Royal Caribbean will depart from the new Smith Cove Cruise Terminal at Pier 91.

My dd and I stayed almost right across the street from Pier 66 at the Marriott Waterfront. We weren't going on a cruise, but we loved the location. Very easy to walk a lot of places. If you are taking one of the cruise lines that leaves from Pier 66 you could pretty much walk from the hotel there.

If you put in the address /area you want to stay at, and the star rating you are willing to settle for, you will get really good deal with Hotwire.com. You won't know which hotel until you pay with your credit card, but I have never been disappointed. I got the Seattle downtown (across from their convention center) Sheraton for $79 last year, the Orlando Sheraton Vistana Villages (1 bedroom unit) for $75, the Orlando airport Crown Plaza for $80.

What pier does the passenger Ferry from Seattle to Victoria leave from?

I'd have to google to find out for sure, but I'm pretty sure it's in that area close to the Seattle Marriott. I remember walking past it when we were walking around down there.
