Anyone know if the below company is trustworthy. Sorry for posting on here but I do not know how to start a new thread. Admin can you help with this question or forward it to where I can get help. Thanks so much.

When you click on "new to timesharing - look here" to get to this thread, there is a button at the top for starting a new thread.

This site sounds like it is UK-specific. If you are in the UK, that works, of course. Not sure if these "deals" are really workable for US timeshares. For example, the site mentions "RCI platinum points" or something like that, and as an RCI platinum member, I have not heard of that.

I clicked a couple of their icons that sounded interesting (buying RCI points), and I received messages for "page not found."

If I were interested in buying RCI points, I probably would ask whether anyone on TUG had points they wanted to get rid of. I think I saw a thread or two recently where people had expiring points they were interested in transferring.

Take a look at their membership fees. Yikes!

went ahead an moved your post to its own thread for you.

Found one of their links that works for buying RCI points. Checked the cost for buying 25,000 points. If my math is correct, it works out to about $0.12 per point. Then if you want 25,000 points per year, I am wondering if you have to pay the same next year. (And I am also wondering whether you need to pay their membership fees in order to buy their points.) If this is the same RCI we are dealing with in the US, you can definitely find more economical ways to get points. You could buy a timeshare for a low price or for free (making sure it is a "points week" and not a "weeks week"), and by paying the yearly maintenance fees, you could end up with RCI points that would cost $0.01 or less. If you're interested in acquiring points without incurring the obligation to pay maintenance fees until you get rid of the timeshare, though, I could understand why you might consider something like this. But as I said before, I would first check with TUG users to see if anyone has points they want to sell.

They want almost $3,000 for 25,000 points. Unless their points are much, much more valuable than the points with the US RCI, that seems very expensive. That kind of money could get you years of maintenance fees at US resorts for 25,000 points per year.

It does look like this outfit may be affiliated with the US RCI. They have a new member guide that looks like material I see in my own RCI materials. Their points may be usable at the same resorts where US RCI points can be used. I didn't see a full listing of available resorts, but there are sample resorts listed at the bottom of one of their pages.

If you are a US RCI member, they have a process for "renting" RCI points if you do not have enough points to do what you want to do. I do not know how that works or where the points really come from, but I think the cost is $0.02 per point - a little rich for me.
