Holiday in club vacations worth it ?

Just curious how everyone likes their club vacation ownership?

I am a big IHG rewards member, but never looked into their time shares.

What's the best way to get in ?

I saw comments but getting point based ownership and try to get low maintenance fees , but how do you calculate what is considered row vs high?

The only 3 locations that transfer as points without a lot of extra restrictions are Myrtle Beach, Gatlinburg, and Lake Geneva Wisconsin. The Wisconsin one is a UDI so their is no difference in MF it is just based on how many points. In Myrtle Beach and Gatlinburg if you get larger units in prime season you get the most points per MF$. The restrictions have been in place for several years so you won't find bargain basement prices on decent size packages. They also sell trust points which do remain as points but have fairly high MF's (over $10 per 1000 points) and have a lot of restrictions- no banking, no borrowing 6 months or less reservation period, no guest certs (owner has to be there to check in), etc.
