Holding account points question / Using 2022 Points for 2023 Resort Credit? [MERGED]

I know that @SueDonJ has mentioned these in the past, but thought perhaps they were no longer available.

They are available- just bought them this morning via MVC chat.
You do need to provide your reservation number and pick them up from the concierge at the resort.

I did need to provide a reservation number, my reservation is cash- not exchange or points and that was fine.
The first chat advisor told me I needed to buy them on site from the resort.
The second one said I need to reserve them through owner service (chat was fine) 3 days before check in.
The resort concierge said you can get them on site but sometimes they can’t see all my points (?) so it is better to have owner services designate the points in advance.

I can see my purchase on MVC under points, points reservations. They show up as explorer collection.

In the same boat with excess points. I have a couple Shadow Ridge reservations so we'll be golfing and shopping.

Do you have to specify to owner services how many points you want to use for Resort Credit for each reservation, or does it just open the balance?

For resort credits, it is standard 325 VC points for $110 resort credit, no more no less but you can get in multiples. It got to be done by MVC owner services.

You specify which type (tier) of golf certificates that you need and they will tell you how many VC points are required. Here's the points chart for Shadow Ridge golf.
