Are the pools at Cabo Azul heated? And are there hot tubs (and if so how many)?

Early this year we stayed at the Westin Los Cabos Baja and found the pools too cold for us - the hot tub in our unit was a lifesaver/vacation saver. We're considering a February visit to the HVC Cabo Azul and was wondering about the pool/hot tub situation.

We own at Cabo Azul. But we are not Pool people. I believe the large Pool is heated by the Sun. There are several hot Tubs. One or two by the large Pool. Two by the Quiet Pools.

I do 2 annual trips a year to Cabo Azul, March & November. The 3 level pool temps are quite lovely. There is no cold chill from the waist up. The pools surrounded by the buildings (serenity & family pool) and the children's pool I have not been in.

...and similar to the poster below... I do not like to use the Hot Tubs! There is only one Hot Tub for the terraced pools and the smaller shaded pools have their own Hot Tubs - there are also Hot Tubs in the 3 BR Penthouses or spa.

There are 2 hot tubs near the main terraced pools plus the two in/at the shaded pools. The pools are all heated and are very comfortable to use year round. The variety of options for pool atmosphere and quality thereof at Cabo Azul are top features for this resort.

What is the best method and timing to request room placement?

Call a few days in advance?
Email? Address?
Early as possible - when reserving?
