Hi all,

Just to share my experience with the package. I deeply regret having bought it. I just called for the 4th time and what I asked for is never available (I tried over several seasons and at several resorts like Mexico La Pacifica, NYC, Orlando...). And I ask for 7 months with flexible dates. I am also an owner and I saw that what I wanted was available to book with my points. But Hilton gives me the same excuse every time, saying that it is a different inventory. The truth is that there is nothing in their inventory. I wrote to customer service to let them know my anger about what for me seems like a scam considering the price. Unless you are extremely flexible on dates and location I do not recommend buying it. And if you do, do not expect to get a premium resort even if they put them in the brochure.

Just to share my experience

Thanks. I will print this out and tape to the wall above my desk ... in case I ever get weak and fall for the pitch of these. I don't have to worry about buying in an "update". No way I / we ever buy anything in any room like that.

La Pacifica and NYC doesn't surprise me like Orlando does (but I suppose it depends on the dates and unit type you're seeking). I'm sorry to hear you've struggled with using the package.

I've shared it elsewhere but I was told that dates for VIP aren't released the same way as our points. So instead of calling precisely x many days before checkout, you call the first of the month. They supposedly release VIP dates one month at a time- so if you wanted to check-in June 26 you'd call Sep 1 not Sep 26. I was able to do that for a recent trip to Hawaii. Disclaimer: I did have to slide my start by 1 day to get a full week. YMMV but any little bit helps with these things!

You also have to go to a property (or resort area such as LV, Orlando, Myrtle Beach, BI, Oahu) that has a sales center.
