IMO Monarch is your best bet. You have a nice beach right at the Resort, the bike trail abuts the Resort and there is a golf course right across the street. Units are smaller than at the others but if there are only 2 of you and no kids, who cares about the size of the unit...

George
What is name of golf course across from Monarch?

I went in mid April of 18 and the weather was perfect for walking, biking, golf etc but the outdoor pools were a little cool still, as was the ocean. But again, absolutely perfect for walking the beach or anything else.

If looking at April, make sure you take her PGA tournament into account. This year it runs April 15-21 but shifts around a bit each year (it always follows the Masters which will change its dates to avoid Easter).

Hmmm, I thought the Masters is ALWAYS the 2nd weekend in April, with the HH RBC the next week (?)

Not when the Masters final round would fall on Easter Sunday. Then they shift the date. We have experienced the HH tournament a few times on Easter Sunday though, with a memorable Easter Sunday service on the 18th hole that was all sports related!

Apparently I'm insane, as well as a purveyor of misinformation. I just checked and you are correct, even when the Maters falls on Easter Sunday. We have had both Masters tickets a few times over the years, as well as attending the HH tournament consistnently for nearly 30 years, and I had thought the dates shifted. Drinks on me next time you're in Harbour Town!

Easter would shift dates before the Augusta National Golf Club would shift a date!

The best way to remember the dates is that the Masters ends on the second Sunday in April.
I live in Augusta, always have, and grew up going to the tournament.

jme,

Yeah, I am a Masters junkie, so I was surprised when one of he posts above implied that the Masters changes
their dates when Easter is involved.
Thanks for verifying what I posted as a response.

I don't know much about SP from a building view standpoint but HP is a fixed week/fixed unit setup so for HP you likely won't have a lot of choices. I'd call the resort but you may want to provide some additional information/context to your situation.

We have been to HH only once. We stayed at Waterside at Spinnaker, was nice but not on the beach.
I was surprised by all the restaurants on Hilton Head. We went in March 2010.
Maybe time Togo back?

Yes, there are over 250 restaurants on the island....many very good ones and many great ones.
Waterside is still there, always getting better, and just had a total renovation of all units last year, and it looks awesome.
Luckily we bought two 3BR units about 7-8 years ago, and we have really enjoyed it for "extra" time at HH.
It turned out to be one of the best deals ever.
Our main spots are the Marriotts, but I think Waterside is the second best because of the large unit size, great renovation, and location.
So, what's keeping you? Come on up.

Have you considered CALLING the front desk?

They know about every unit, its view, its layout, and its ranking on their list.

They will welcome your call and give you all the details you want, whereas most folks who have stayed there,
even owners, have no clue beyond a couple of units, and still lack info on others that might be better or worse.
