I follow HGVC on LinkedIn and this employee tagged HGVC in this post. Anyone know what she’s talking about? Almost sounds to me to be an announcement related to DRI.

Sounds like this was an employee town hall. Mark Wang had mentioned in the 3rd quarter earnings call that they were holding these at the resorts. Looks like this maybe one for either corporate or maybe remote employees? I had to look up #wfh and that’s work from home. Just my thoughts, but it sounds like she’s an employee who is drumming up hype for the new announcements.

I don’t like the “new levels, new club structure“ line. Makes me think of the ever changing levels and costs in some of the other timeshare systems. Then again, Judi Kozlowski has said in one of the Facebook groups that whatever they are planning will be good for HGVC owners. She has connections within the system so hopefully she is right.

Very good point on employee town hall. I was thinking we were off cycle for an investor call and don’t see anything notated on HGVC’s investor relations page. It also make me think you’re right that she is purely drumming up hype. I’d be surprised if they announced anything substantive to employees before investors for fear of getting in trouble with the SEC for failure to disclose substantive information to investors.

This was likely the employee town hall. The girl pictured is Sara Pugh and her LinkedIn profile has her as In House Direct Sales for HGVC.

Gotta be at least one TUGger who has mad hacking skills and can get us in the room! ;)

My first impression was sales. The line under her name "All day I'm making bucket lists happen" gave me that impression. I guess we can expect the hard push from sales after this!

I nominate @RX8

He's always debunking scammers and shills!

The information that we have received from the investor calls states the HGV will be rolling out the new integrated program between former DRI resorts and HGVC resorts during the first of the year. I have been wondering if we will see some changes to our 2022 club rules for this new integrated program.

I have been waiting for the 2022 club rules/fees and points charts to come out. They are usually posted by November or early December of the previous year. They gotta be waiting for the introduction of the program. Maybe it will be sooner than we think? Or maybe they are just carrying over the 2021 rules till the new programs start? Unless her post is just a ploy to make her sales pitch more believable, the direct sales team now knows the new programs. If this is the case, they must be close to an announcement. I find it hard to believe that they would let this leak out if they were a ways away from it's introduction.

I wonder if we will start to hear some tales in these last few weeks of the year. So many going on trips and I'm sure there will be tales from sales presentations . . . errrrrrr. . . owners updates.

Don't rush to conclusions, we already heard suggestions that Diamond would be Hilton Vacations Club and Existing HGVC would be Hilton Grand Vacations Club (along with the rebranded Embarc properties), so I don't think this anything but that conversation with employees that may not follow press releases as actively as we do.

That is a new club level and new resorts, why are we surprised?

We received a mass letter from the head of customer service that the new rules and fees for 2022 will be out Jan 1 2022. I doubt it will have major announcements.

We also heard from reps in a September presentation that it will be good for HGVC owners. Perhaps that's the Embarc addition since the OP post referenced "new properties"?

They are probably training reps in both portfolios to sell both HGVC and Diamond. That is integration. Is there is a crossover program rollout by Jan 1? That would seem fast for a corporation.

I appreciate your confidence in me. While I was able to hack in, once in I ended up purchasing two retail timeshares from Sara Pugh. Dammit, I didn’t even need another timeshare. I am sorry I failed you.

She must have made your bucket list happen (if your bucket list was to buy something from her you could purchase for 95% less on the resale market).

She has connections within the system so hopefully she is right.

While she is in a slightly different business than HGVC, she is also in the business of making sales. I am not saying she is not being truthful .... just that she has a benefit to people thinking it is positive.

I thank all the people that have that on their bucket list. It makes it much cheaper for me to be able to check off my items at resale prices.

Correct, before there can be resales, someone must purchase direct.

Completely agree. The one thing I have learned from my ownership is to take everything that people in the timeshare business say with a grain of salt. While I think that Judi isn't a scammer or trying to lie and cheat her way to make sales, this is her business. She has to market herself as an expert AND HGVC as a phenomenal system to purchase resale in.

The quote below has been helpful to giving me a better understanding of why some people never get a better understanding. Applies way more to the direct sales weasels than to Judi.

“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.”

She's pretty cute. Guessing she has good sales!

Which is exactly why one wants to spend time here and become an expert themselves. I've attended quite a few "owners" sale pitch meetings and once they realize I know as much about their product and their business as they do they need to just show me their best deal and get one with it. So far about the only good argument I've heard a saleperson make was with Marriott trying to convert me from a legacy week owner to a points owner. I concluded that for US it was not worth the cost, but I could see how it could have been worth it for others. Beyond that they really can't explain why buying from them is better than from the secondary market.

Sooner would be better than later…….. but experience tells me to not hold my breath.

We won’t be at a HGVC until October next year, so I’ll rely in Tugger’s to inform me for the inevitable sales presentation we’ll feel obliged to endure
