I used my HGVC ownership to stay at HHV. My room-bill was not significant - mostly just drinks by the pool and the darn $5/day tourist tax.

I haven't seen any points posted to my HHonors account. Do you get HHonors points when staying at HGVC using your HGVC ownership?

No. The only time you'll get Honors points at HGVC properties is when you book them through the hotel site.

Good to know. Last time I spend money at an HGVC property while I am staying there via ownership.

If you charge your spending to a HHonors affiliated CC, you'll get some points for use of the card.

When you buy into an HGVC property, it's a piece of the operation, not a piece of property. You are an investor that gets to visit his investment for a week for each share.

I don't know about you, but I give my business to the companies in my portfolio, I don't cut off my nose to spite my face.

A TS, even a HGVC membership, is more aptly described as a "wasting asset," than an "investment."
The question is, do you want to enhance your visit with a Pina Colada, before becoming completely wasted?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if you place no value on something then it will have no value to you.

I respect you have your opinion, I'm just stating mine.

Nonetheless, the question is, do you want to enhance your visit by paying for a Pina Colada at the bar?

Yes, a Pina Colada please.
