Anyone been to the Westin buffet so far this summer? Just wondered if the quality was still there and what the price has jumped to. It's been a number of years since we stuffed ourselves wtih crab legs!

HHI Westin Seafood Buffet?

The Westin on HHI stopped the Seafood Buffet in mid Oct 2005....only for the 'slow' season. (They still had some other buffets, like the breakfast...which was good IMO)
I think the signage or staff said it would restart in April 06.....but not sure. So, there may be very few responses here until a later date.

I saw the post and JUST NOW called the Westin's Carolina Cafe, where the seafood buffet is a tradition, and lo, the Westin seafood buffet is still going strong, and yes, it started back after the "off-season". They have it every night in the Carolina Cafe. The other restaurants there have menu items. (Funny, but my family is currently staying at Grande Ocean for 3 consecutive weeks, so I think we'll try the buffet one night...thanks for reminding me!) The current prices are $31.95 per adult, and $15.95 for kids under 12. So, it did go up slightly, but it's still a great meal (basically all you can eat, including crablegs and whatever..even prime rib) , and includes the famous (or infamous???) dessert buffet tables. Hopefully, your room is close by afterward....you may need knee pads, or at least someone to push.......if you have to drive, take extreme caution. I've crawled out of there many times.....probably about as fast as some of the slugs nearby.

Thanks so much for the info --- I'll remember to wear the capris with the elastic waist and an overblouse! Get those crab crackers ready.
