I am sitting on my normal stock pile of HH points. I am sitting on 765K. I have 1 free standard night cert. (I like the fact that Hilton free certs on on a standard night ANYWHERE in the system.)

So I am beginning to plan another trip of a lifetime. I make use of the pay for 4 get the 5 free (5 for 4), and sometime couple that with a free night certificate.

I have been to Maldives twice and used HH points both times, staying at Conrad Rangali (back in 2014 when this was 40K a night for this resort and I stayed 5 for 4 but x3 for 15 nights total) and at Saii Lagoon in 2022 (used 3 free nights carried over during covid plus another 5 for 4) when I coupled this with a Tradewinds trip. I have used it a long time ago, around 2000 maybe for a stay on the Big Island HWV Hawaii in an Oceanfront room in the Ocean tower, (when it is still hotel) for some nights, way back when you got the entire stay for 100K points. I have used free certs in Tahiti $700/night room in 2023, one night pre tradewinds cruise. I have also used 5 for 4 in Fiji in 2019, again coupled with a Tradewinds trip.

So I am in search of another great exchange, even exotic, using HH points. I do like to stay in standard room, and just either "get a free" upgrade with my Diamond Status, (like I did in Fiji, we went from a Studio to a 2 BR), see what Cash price they offer for upgrades, or just stay in the standard room.

Has anyone used from HH points for some really fantastic locations. I am consider Small Luxury Hotel choices, now that is part of Hilton. Diving would likely be my main goal.

Any suggestions?

I think a trip to the Seychelles would be nice or Bali something similar

You will get much more value in Europe than N. America because they include breakfast buffets or lounges.

We stayed in Waldorf Edinburgh, Rome Cavalieri - very nice.

Try Europe Small Luxury Hotels. Greek Islands look interesting but there are others. Someone posted a while ago on Facebook about a Hilton Hotel near Pompeii that looked nice. The Conrad in Algarve Portugal also looked promising.

Please report back.

I was in Seychelles last year, I picked up a tradewinds nearly last minute. So couldn't get any good deals arranged for Hilton there. I just did an AirBnB in the Marina instead.

But I did look briefly into Bali, as I have never been.

I haven't been to Cabo in a while, so that may be an option, but there are TS choices there.

Santorini is a good idea. I didn't realize Hilton had a bunch of SLH choices there. Wonder if they offer a good deal on upgrading from points to a better view?

I can't find a WA Edinburgh. Since I am planning a Scotland trip. Any idea of they changed brands on that?

I did get free breakfast at the Curio I stayed at in Maldives. The Saii Lagoon is a Curio Collection.

I have only stayed at the Conrad Bali, so no comparative review for other properties in Bali, but I really enjoyed the stay. We were there in the off season it seems in late February 2011, and we often had the beach and pool to ourselves early in the morning.

Stayed in Venice at Molino Stucky offseason. Really enjoyed the the place, the boat to get to the hotel and not being there with tons of people. Diamond room upgrade was to a suite, breakfast was very nice and the executive lounge was nice if you got there early.

On my list to drop some points, if only we had more time off!
