Has anyone gone on the HGVC website to make or change a reservation. It took me about 20 minutes to change 2 resrvations that usually take about 1 minute. Getting on was slow to begin with and then when I clicked on what I wanted to do it was moving so slow that I forgot where I was and what I was doing. I started to do brief things around the house waiting for the little thing to go around and get me to the next step.

I just changed 2 of mind and it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary.

I have also been in today several times. For me it was normal also.

It could be your ISP slowing things down.
Besides, my crap is usually pretty timely.

What does ISP mean? Please let me know how I fix it?

Thank you Slip for telling me what ISP means. I am not having a problem with other sites only HGVC so I don't think that the internet connection is the problem.

As I am waiting for the HGVC website to acknowledge what I just clicked and let me move to the next step in changing a reservation at times the message "do you want to wait or try again another time" comes up!! At first I went out and tried another time, but since the next time the same slow crap continued I just wait, and wait, and wait. Today I went and got another cup of coffee, sweetened it, came back and waited a little longer for the next step.

I FIXED IT. Since no one else is having a problem I knew it had to be me. I used the tried and true method of fixing electronic repairs. I shutdown and started again. Now it works fine.

Yea! Ya' know, that's the first thing everyone should try:
1. Shut it down (or pull the plug). 2. Wait 30 seconds. 3. Reboot.
I do that about once a week with my cable box when it craps out.

Another option to try in the future if this happens again (with any site) is to clear the site cookies and see if that helps. Quicker than a restart and worth a try.

Cheers.

My husband had already eaten the cookies but that didn't fix the computer.

I hate to ask what he does when the system produces a core dump! o_O

Kurt

I was thinking that, while the computer regenerates the cookies after they're eaten, anything her husband (or any of us) might reconstruct after eating the cookies would be, well, covered in the thread title...as is the answer to your question :)

Cheers.

I find that a product known as Ducolax solves the "slow" part.
