Is HGVC the same as UVC Unlimited Vacation Club? Also why can't you find any UVC places to buy?
No, it's a vacation club (no ownership, just discounts). Is HGVC the same as UVC Unlimited Vacation Club? Also why can't you find any UVC places to buy?
Thank you! We are using a friends UVC in July and getting a really good deal. I think I'm interested in UVC but just don't see or hear much about it.No, it's a vacation club (no ownership, just discounts).

Should I buy a Timeshare Vacation Travel Club
Timeshare Vacation Travel Club warning for anyone considering buying one!tug2.net
The following is a description of Unlimited Vacation Club that someone posted in the thread below.
Basically you buy into the membership for differing lengths of time, depending on your level. You are essentially buying the ability to book your vacations at a 25% discount from the advertised prices (and they price match against the big guys- Expedia, booking.com, etc). Silver level and above get automatic "preferred" benefits at the resorts- better booze, a separate area for preferred members, etc. The membership levels under silver (pearl and choices I think) aren't eligible for the preferred upgrade. Room upgrades at check-in are guaranteed if space is available. My last trip I was upgraded from the cheapest room to a two room suite but if there's no space there's no upgrade. They sometimes offer special perks when you buy in such as free weeks or heavily discounted weeks or the ability to book over holidays (which some membership levels don't allow). So it is a little complicated and there are a lot of nuances but if you know how to play the game you can actually come out way ahead. There are several facebook groups devoted to members helping members. The saying is that if you can travel at least twice per year it can be a very good deal.Membership also includes a few years as an RCI member with some weeks that can be traded as well. Depending on your UVC level of membership dictates how many exchange points you have. And you are eligible for the RCI specials and discounted $249 weeks as well.![]()

First off, good morning to you all. I've never used this website before but I have frequented it once in a blue moon in the hopes of finding something interesting. I am married and my wife an myself are in the later halves of our 20s. We make a decent joint income and have enough to set aside...tugbbs.com

With HGVC buying 2nd class systems, maybe they could start a discount club. What would lead you to believe that HGVC and UVC were the same?
I'll sell you mine cheap.Thank you! We are using a friends UVC in July and getting a really good deal. I think I'm interested in UVC but just don't see or hear much about it.
We’ve been members for about 8 years. That is a good write up. The only error is ….. preferred benefits are not automatic at silver or above. You would have to book a preferred room, or get upgraded to a preferred room. We book the cheapest preferred we can. Like garden view. And then hope for our upgrade. I’d say we get it 50% of the time. We are platinum, upgraded from gold. I think we wasted our money. No, it's a vacation club (no ownership, just discounts).

HGVC, (Hilton Grand Vacation Club), hasn't bought any 2nd class system. One of the problems with using letters rather than names when talking about systems is that certain important words get missed. In this case the G. HVC, (Hilton Vacation Club), which is not HGVC, bought Diamond Resort InternationaL The two companies set up an internal trading system between HGVC and HVC outside of RCI,(Resort Condominium International) one of the 2 huge Timeshare trading companies. There is mixed reviews on the availability of units within the internal trading system between HGVC and HVC. We own HGVC and have no problems with exchanging using our HGVC points in that system. Without owning any timeshares in Hawaii we just came back from Maui, and have a trip planned to the Island of Hawaii later this year and another one to the island of Hawaii next year. In the past we have used our points to stay in Honolulu for the entire winter. We live there now so there is no need to use our points there. With HGVC buying 2nd class systems, maybe they could start a discount club.
