I currently own 2 Sunrise Lodge ski weeks and am considering a third. I’m retiring next year and will be able to ski for 3 weeks in a row every year :). I saw a listing for a fixed week 52, which I would want to use for a different ski week because I have standing annual plans for Christmas and New Years. I called HGVC and they told me that as an owner of a fixed week 52 they pre-book that week in their system. I could cancel it, but the points I’d get could not be used to book a different Sunrise owner’s week. Rather they’d essentially be like any other HGVC points where I could only book Sunrise when the Club window opens about 9 months before checkout. Does anyone have personal experience to either confirm or contradict this information? Thanks very much.

The information you received is correct. The deed is for a fixed week not floating platinum season ski week. You want the later.

btw, @dbzb was looking for a fixed ski week at either Breckenridge or Park City.

I have a fixed week 52 unit at W57 and wanted to change it for week 47 this year (Thanksgiving). The website doesn't allow you to change a fixed week reservation online, you have to call Club Support. When I spoke with Club Support they told me that I could change my home week reservation to a different week- but I couldn't change it to Thanksgiving week because that was another "Event Week" in NYC.

Rather than calling Club Support and potentially getting conflicting answers, it may be worthwhile to email them to confirm - especially if you're basing a purchase on the answer. I would have more confidence in a written answer rather than a phone call: C@hgvc.com
