The facility is beautiful with its own private beach. I was told that we could watch whales at the facility but we didn't have time to do so.
Not a private beach, it can be accessed by the public walk-way surrounding the MBV Beach Club - which really should be only available as an owner’s lounge. The channel is a whale’s playground! Feb-Apr are the best months to see them in action. There is the whale institute steps away from MBV. If you can get up early, you’ll see the turtles sleeping on the beach! Great food walks are Sugar Beach Bake Shop and the adjoining shave ice, and open fruit market. Outrigger clubs are just across the street from the bake shop!

Yes, we can all use cash Open Season at 30 days, but it's mostly 2-3 nights, not full weeks.

I've never heard of Hilton converting a Westgate, was that an Elara Vegas unit?

Here is current open season at MBV, it might improve as they complete more units, but maybe not with more owners.

We travel to different locations so the Open Season is an option to book many locations without purchasing a lot of points with a large annual maintenance fee. That's why we want to explore resales options. It's basically for us to get access to the Open Season. If we purchase from resales, it seems that we wouldn't have HiltonMax and would not have access to other "brands" such as Blue Green and Great Wolf. I saw a direct connect to RCI on HiltonMax. Would resales owners have access to RCI?

I was shown HiltonMax to book the Open Season. The rationale was to purchase a small package and pay cash using Open Season on HiltonMax.
That was a terrible recommendation from your salesperson. That recommendation has been used by sales for years.

They would allow me to use my EYO Westgate for a small annual fee.
I also have never heard of this being a possibility before so I would suspect that it was a complete lie.

I took a photo of the Vacation Connection Contract which referred to my Westgate as "Qualifying Interest." It also specified that I'd need to be a member with HGV Max benefits.

Back door “Max”

That would give me 0 insensitive to want Max. Not impressed with the BG properties I’ve looked at, and the point cost for Great Wolf is astronomical. You can just pay cash for Great Wolf if you wanted to stay there.
Would resales owners have access to RCI?
Yes.
