At this point it isn't something that HGVC could change. They have negotiated a corporate account with RCI and that contract doesn't allow non HGVC's to be deposited. For $99 per year you can set up and deposit all the non corporate controlled timeshares that you own into RCI.Thanks for your answers. It seems HGVC could earn additional revenue by charging $99 or something for outside deposits but I guess they don't want competition.

.... as well as a way to free up HGVC inventory to deposit in Hilton Honors and earn income.
Maybe I don’t understand an “exchange,” but isn’t there balance between the points/weeks (inventory) for those exchanging out versus inventory used by those exchanging in?
I could see HGVC valuing the fresh meat coming into the system to turn the sales force loose on.
Having a hgv account with rci does not give you access to all the rci locations.
Is there a way to gain greater access?
Do you get better rci access when you are hgv elite? If so and you buy additional hilton timeshare via resell. Does that count towards better rci access and resorts?
Thanks in advance.
RCI platinum is a separate RCI account. I have an RCI account through my other timeshare, The Grandview at las vegas and it costs a yearly fee, add another fee to jump to platinumAFAIK, the only way to get more access to RCI things is via a separate RCI account and get Platinum status/membership somehow.
I don't think even HGV Elite have that, but I could be wrong.
Now, whether it's *worth* it, I don't know.
