HGVC new reservation system?

My son is a Software Engineer and I constantly remind him that before releasing software it needs to be tested by those who are going to use it! In the case of the HGVC Reservation System it is us; Members

Well, they sort of get it. They are having us test it. They just missed the pre-release part. :)

As a software engineer and manager for 30ish years, I will say that setting up an environment for end-user testing prior to release is often impractical. In a case like this, it really wouldn't work well. This means, however, that they have to do more internal testing before release and, while I certainly would not attempt to make definitive statements about what they do and don't require, it certainly seems that they are not doing adequate testing. Simple regression test suites targeting basic functionality are not that hard to create and run on pre-release software.

Cheers.

This is made worse by agile development which focuses on minimum viable product, not designing for the big picture. Thus it is about setting a few tests and moving on because the metric isn't doing things right, but good enough.
