HGVC Kingsland II versus The Bay Club

I think we went that way; it was the first road we came across past bldg 1 of Bay Club.
We walked on the backside of the Ocean Tower to Buddha point, and then down around the other side past the water slides. Is that the way you've gone?

We never made it to Lagoon beach though. Next time...

Yes, thats the best way to go. There are a couple of pools near ocean tower you can use, then go past the little chapel and over a bridge to the lagoon beach. I’ve never been questioned by any staff, they only seem to monitor the pools and slides south of Dolphin quest.

KL has 3 phases to date. Phase 1 larger units costing more than standard HGVC point rates. Phase 2 that have slightly smaller units, but are on HGVC standard Point rates. Phase 3 is building mix of standard point units and larger elevated point units. Phase 3 higher units do appear to have a larger lanai than the phase 1 units, but I have not actually been in the phase 3 units.

For a KL units, if you stay in the higher point Phase 1 units, don't both with PLUS unit, it does NOT guarantee you get a higher floor. It does NOT guarantee you are adjacent to the pool. Apparently some buildings closer to the clubhouse are considered PLUS units, the next adjacent building located 25 feet away was NOT considered plus.

Get a PREMIUM unit if you want any chance for a better view, or save your points and just go Standard in Phase 1 units. If you want to save some points get a Phase 2 or Phase 3 slightly smaller unit.
