I will be staying here at the end of this week and read that there is limited self parking.

Is there a charge to park? & are you obligated to use valet parking assuming that is what will happen once limited parking is full.

Would love to hear any ins & outs about this resort if ther are any. We will be in a 3 br.

Thanks

Parking is free. Just not enough of it near the buildings, so those coming back late may have to park by the registration building. Depending on which building you're in, that could be a good hike back to your room.

As mentioned, it is really only a problem if the resort is full and you are returning to the resort late. Then the spots closest to your building may all be taken. In my last several trips though I haven't had a problem finding a spot near my building even when returning after EPCOT closes (returning about 10pm). The problem may be more acute behind buildings 5-7 though.

However, there is always parking available near the registration building, and also at the opposite end of the resort behind the leisure pool / pizza hut area.

Also, there is no valet parking.

We just returned from I drive, having stayed in building 7 and found that so long we were back by 7pm we'd usually find a space near our building. Any later and we usually found ourselves parking by the Pizza hut (which is on the HGVC site) between buildings 4 & 5, about a 5 minute walk from buiilding 7.

Thanks for all of the replies, that clears things up for me.

Even if there are no parking spots near your building and you have to park near the clubhouse/lobby, the staff is right there to give you a ride in the shuttle cart. When we were there in March and the place was full, we returned home at 1 am from a trip to Cape Canaveral to watch a late night launch and dinner after. As soon as we parked near the clubhouse, they brought the cart right to our car as we parked. We were in Bldg 1 so chose to walk, but they are very good about making sure you have a ride if there is no parking at your building, so no need to cut short your plans if you are out late.

Hilton Grand Vacations Club on International Drive

We're staying in a 2bd at Hilton Grand Vacations Club on International Drive in September. Does anyone know if there are sections of the resort that are better than others, and if you can call ahead to request a specific building?

Thanks in advance for any advice,
Mark
