I need some advice: We just booked a 2 BR in the HGVC Flamingo over Easter, 09. We haven't been to Las Vegas in at least 4-5 years, so probably things have changed a lot since we were last there.

My main question is what unit would be the most desirable for a request? I would like to have one of the renovated units, but other than that which ones would be the best?

If we don't have a car, what are our best grocery options? We probably wouldn't cook that many meals other than breakfast.

Any other advice on 'must do' things for 4 nights in Vegas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

They're renovating one floor at a time, from the top down. So I'd just ask for a high floor, and you'll get a renovated unit. I've always preferred the main tower, as the north tower is kind of out of the way (I've never been in the south tower).

HGVC Flamingo has the standard little convenience store in it, near the lobby. Not a whole lot of selection, and the prices are a little high. But you don't have a lot of choice without a car. There's a big shopping center a couple of miles east on Flamingo (IIRC), which has a big grocery store. You could always take a taxi there and back. But for 4 days, I'd make do with the attached convenience store. I seem to recall that they make some decent breakfast burritos and the like, as well as sandwiches for lunch, at a reasonable price. But I may be remembering one of the other HGVC's in LV.

There's an ABC store in the mall attached to Planet Hollywood. It has quite a few grocery items for less than the convenience store at the Flamingo and is only a short walk away.
