Which beach we were you visiting? There are some big differences in water quality.

As with others, I would say that your experience was an anomaly. I would urge you to give it another try. And to recognize that a few dead fish might not be unusual for any beach. I have lived on the US West Coast since 1973, and finding a few dead fish on the shore is not all unusual.

Even if all environmental toxins and pollutants were eliminated, 100% of fish will still die at some time, and some of their carcasses will make it to shore. So, even in an ideal world one should still expect to encounter occasional fish carcasses.

I would love to give it another try. It didn’t bother me at the time, but when I got home I added up seeing four or five dead fish EVERY day plus murky water = OMG I was eating that same fish from the same waters every single day. Glad to hear it’s an anomaly. For sure I loved the fresh coconuts every day.
