Hi, new to the forum. At a recent owners review I learned about renting weeks using guest certificates (I have four) to offset fees. Booking the week then using apps like VRBO, etc to rent it. To whoever is experienced in this, are there any apps or websites that you recommend? Just looking into it, I found Vacation Candy and a couple others but not sure where to start. Any help is appreciated.
Also any other suggestions of offsetting maintenance fees? I've got about 26k points I'm not going to use this year and trying to figure the best way to utilize them for this.
Thanks.

Is this for Hilton Grand Vacations Club or Hilton Vacations Club? Your profile looks like you have both. If HGVC you can only rent out your home week(s). I don't know about former DRI.

Yes, on the HGVC side. I was looking to see what resource people were using to rent them. Thanks for the reply

Welcome to Tug,

I have not rented my timeshare, but I suggest you look at Redweek and the Tug Marketplace. Vacation Candy and Koala are other places to check.

The timeshare salespeople seem to talk about VRBO and AirBNB. Those may work as well, though I suspect the salespeople may send people there as they don't offer timeshares for sale.

I used to post a lot of rentals on eBay with pretty good results. Listings are a bit more troublesome to write but once you have your format, the next one is easy.

I'll bring up Craig's List before anyone else does. Maybe ten years ago, it was an okay place to list. Then it became infested with trolls and got to be more trouble than it was worth. Also, Craig's List has this fantasy that delivery will be hand-to-hand, which clearly doesn't work for timeshare rentals. My most recent experiences (a few years old by now) were that my listings were being taken down almost immediately after they were posted, way too soon to be flagged by the guys in their Moms' basements. I believe that living in VA and listing in FL triggered the cancellations.
