My husband and I just returned from PV. We bought at Belaire Resort and spa on Sept 19th. We traded in our timeshare at Embassy Suites in Maui and our other timeshare at Paradise Village. Our deal is not final until we pay the balance on or befor December 12. I was waiting because my mother is dying from brain cancer. I thought we would go back after she passes away and deal with the final payment and also have a pre-arranged vacation thru them booked as I will need time to grieve. Have we made a huge mistake. Doesl anyone have anything positive to say about Belaire or the ability to make exchanges with them. Someone please help me I do not want to deal with my mothers death and an un-ethical business deal at the same time. :annoyed:

For your reading - see this now-closed thread which should give you all you need to make a decision. However, read quickly, because you have only 5 days under Mexico law to rescind, if you choose to do so.

As with any timeshare purchase, if you are unsure of your decision, RECIND IMMEDIATELY! After you recind, take your time to research you options and fully decide if you want to purchase. You have a lot on your plate with your mothers illness, so I suggest that you stop and take a breath before making a huge financial decision.

I'm also concerned about the other properties you traded. Did you actually sign them over, or just agree that you would? I suggest contacting the other two properties and seeing about stopping whatever you did so you don't lose them.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom, my dad died the same way 15 years ago.

Please rescind this purchase now, it will be available later after your life settles down, if at that time you feel you would like to make this purchase.

Please read the long thread mentioned in Dave M's post #2 on this thread. You'll find all the information you need to rescind your contract. You are still within your right of rescission time period if you act NOW.

You have only this one opportunity to rescind--you will be able to buy numerous times in the future, but you can only rescind this one time now. Read the experiences of others who successfully rescinded their contract and do what they did.
