You can certainly continue to use TUG in a browser on mobile. You may just get a small popup asking if you would rather use TapaTalk. I see that and I don't even have TapaTalk installed on my device.
still?

I supposedly disabled THAT too...grrr

ah ok, no i know that is a thing and its annoying, thankfully I found the setting to disable that too (also with the 20/month plan that had to be checked manually) so i hope noone still sees that either!

I had have the pro edition for years in my iPad but somehow it wouldn’t let me use that account on my iPhone. Anyway, on the rare occasions I used it on my iPhone I did see the tapa ads, so glad you removed them. I also notice now that the tapa headers are blue rather than the standard color and it now won’t permit me to add a signature, which I assume you just implemented earlier today. I’m not sure why this is, since TUG permits signatures, right?

hmm, I figured at the least it would post your own existing signature from within xenforo...weird. signatures back to "enabled" in tapatalk.

what an odd "feature"

Now it’s working, as you may see in the image below. Yesterday when posting the blue check mark next to the signature line was unchecked, and when I clicked it I would see the message I posted last night.

I always wondered why I couldn’t use the signature I had configured on the website. You should also know that when using Tapa we don’t see any other signature (except perhaps those also sent from Tapa). I would actually prefer to use the signature from the site instead of Tapa.

Perhaps there’s an admin option to permit us to view and use the signatures from Xen. That may be worth asking Tapa.

i thought thats what was checked!

the option is to enable or disable signatures...

"This setting is shared between Tapatalk & Branded app. App user can always disable signature in his device but this setting allows you to globally turn it off or customize it for all users."

im baffled as to why tapatalk would somehow delete your own configured xenforo signature when posting?

replying from the website, not tapatalk, to test my signature from the site.

ETA: I don’t see my signature. Hmm. Checking. Turns out it disappeared. I know I had one a few years ago…

Modified my signature within the Tapatalk app to match my newer added signature at the site, and testing again.

Ok… so from within Tapatalk I may see signatures added from the Tapa app but not any from the site. This has been the behavior for years. If anything, I suggest you ask Tapatalk how to fix that so Tapatalk users may view signatures added from the site.

Also, for anyone wanting to modify their Tapatalk signature you may do it on a per site basis in the Settings section of the app.

Well, now that I see this on the website I'm going to remove the Tapatalk footer. It's listing the same info twice for those who use the site, and that's cumbersome. I can certainly understand why some site owners would want to prevent Tapatalk users from using the Tapa footer. It might be smart to do that and simply tell those who use it to configure their footer on the site instead. Of course, this still doesn't help those Tapa users from seeing any footer from the site, so I think that's still a legitimate question to ask Tapa.

I'm sure it's part of Tapatalks viral marketing from years ago.

As for the XenForo footer... it's likely that however Tapatalk is integrated it only views the post contents and XF probably appends the footer itself. I would expect there's a solution to this, but I've never worked on this combination of apps before so don't know. It would be very nice to see the footers others have when viewing in the Tapa app.

So it seems that TapaTalk just appends the signature that is setup in TapaTalk to the end of a post but you can't see XF signatures in TapaTalk?

That's how it's worked for me since I first started using Tapatalk.

I also disabled (or at least I think I did) the prompt that asks you at the beginning if you want to view the site using chrome/safari/etc or tapatalk...hopefully noone sees that anymore either!
That will be EXTREMELY welcome if it works.

Perhaps it is a limitation of TapaTalk to not display forum signatures. It only displays TapaTalk signatures because they are part of the actual post. They may do this to prevent a lot of scrolling, though I would think it could be something that should be able to be enabled or disabled by a user or perhaps the XF admin of the forum.
