Anyone here an owner at Cimarron Golf Resort in california?

its on diamonds website as their resort

https://www.diamondresorts.com/Cimarron-Golf-Resort

however on rci and other sites, its a raintree resort...ive not heard of diamond buying out raintree...but i cant possibly know everything.

anyone shed some light on this while I investigate further?

Raintree & Diamond share some rooms at each others resorts. So many of the Raintree resorts are listed on the diamond web site.

TUG FAQ about DRI said:
Diamond also has some availability at the following RainTree Vacation Club Resorts:

Whiski Jack Resorts (17 resort locations) Whistler BC
The Sandcastle at Birch Bay WA
Franz Klammer Lodge Telluride CO
Teton Club Jackson Hole WY
Park Plaza Park City UT
The Miners Club Park City UT
Cimarron Golf Resort Palm Springs CA
Kona Reef Hawaii

Grand Regina Los Cabos
Club Regina Los Cabos
Club Regina Puerto Vallarta
Club Regina Cancun
Casa San Felipe Hostal Oaxaca
Hostal Las Cúpulas Oaxaca
Villa Vera Puerto Mio - Zihuatanejo
Villa Vera Puerto Isla Mujeres
Villa Vera Acapulco

So it looks like it is a Raintree resort which shares a few rooms with DRI owners.

Many hands in this pot

Brian,
I believe several entities have gone in and purchased inventory for their Clubs at this resort and own inventory there much like any other owner, just in more than one or two intervals. If memory serves me correctly this was one of the last Glen Ivy resorts developed before their problems resulted in their demise. I think RCI RM managed them for a while, but the HOA had quite a lot of unsold inventory and needed maintenance fees money and didn't have a problem cutting deals with some Clubs out there that wanted access for their owner/members to Palm Springs. I think that is why you see if in many organizations like you do.

Raintree owns units at Cimarron - I am not sure if they own the whole resort or not.

Going of memory.... Raintree and Diamond have an exchange deal of, I think 1000 weeks per year. Diamond members have access to all of the Raintree locations. Raintree members have access to roughly a half-dozen Diamond locations - I think they are mostly near Disney and in Hawaii.
