I need some help with an RCI exchange. I have not done an exchange with worldmark before and need to know how the housekeeping works and if I have to cancel what the ramifications are. DO the points go back into worlmark or stay with RCI.. Do you get all of the credits back or are they prorated based on when you cancel. I assume the exchange fee is forfeited.

Any details of things to be aware of would be appreciated.

Also does anyone know if I can book 2 units at the Bay club on the Big Island for the same week?

If you cancel the exchange what happens to the HK? Good question. I haven't a clue.

The insurance with RCI is so expensive, I would book the RCI exchange on the assumption that I would not cancel. Insurance doesn't cover the $299 exchange fee.

I haven't used RCI in years. I did find some info on worldmark that you do have to have or pay for a housekeeping fee for each exchange but can't find anything on the cancellation. I am seeing various exchange fees as well. I am looking at the big island and the exchange fee for the Bay Club is $199, kingsland $199 and Kohala is $299. I can't see any reason for the difference unless it is a fluke. There is a reasonable chance of having to cancel so I want to find out the ramifications before I book.
