I have a Premier Paypal account. Every time when I try to pay something, it always withdraws from the available cash in my Paypal account or bank account linked to Paypal. What I really want to do is paying through my credit card but it seems to always bypass that option. What did I do wrong? Also, I hope they don't charge me anything for using credit card since they charge the seller for receiving the payment.

Your bank account will be the primary source of payment and will be used in the transaction unless you say otherwise. When paying and you get the the account details page there is a link on the bottom which allows you to "change payment source" or something similar which will take you through to other sources of payment (credit cards etc.) if you have any linked to the account. Select the one you want and away you go. You usually get a message at this point about Paypal's payment guarantee and its limitations when using credit cards.

Having just typed all this its just struck me that you may not have your cards registered to your account and hence you might not get the option to change your payment source, in which case you will have to add your cards to your account.

My experience is that if you have money in your PayPal account you do not get the option of credit card.

If you have a zero balance it tries to take money from your linked bank account but you then do have the option of switching source to CC.

They do this because Premier and Business members pay the ~3% fees no matter the source (except for echeck fees are less) so if it comes from PayPal balance or bank account it's all pure profit as PayPal isn't paying CC commissions.
