This is also a good reason that I suggest simple old first class mail as a backup. An additional fifty cents is worth it. Sure it has a chance to get lost too, but it is also a legal way to mail your rescission.

First Class Mail with a Certificate of Mailing is actually better as Postal Authorities Postmark the Certificate at time of mailing. It is PS Form 3817.

Most folks never use this service as they have no idea about it. This form proves the date it was mailed.
