I am going on my first cruise in 2 weeks. It's a 4 night cruise from Tampa with 1 stop in Cozumel. My challenges are:

1) Me - I do not like to wear the same thing twice for dinner and I love my shoes.
2) Using a carryon and a tote bag only.
3) Leaving directly from work the night before. Weather in PA is supposed to be very cold and possibly snowy. I will use offsite airport valet parking.

Besides the undies, I have gotten this far:

Black skirt with 2 different tops for 2 dinners
Long sleeveless dress with jacket for dinner
Bathing suit and cover up

What should I bring for daytime-shorts, capris, long pants? Sleeveless tops, sweater sets, short sleeve tops? Do I need sneakers for any reason? If my cabin mate decides to bring his tux, how dressy should my outfit be?

Do you roll or fold your clothes? Any advice is very much appreciated.

Hi Pat,

You will love your cruise.

First night's dinner is usually very casual so capris are probably ok, but I always like long sleeves or a sweater for evenings on the deck or air conditioned dining room. Day time on ship is also casual and since I like the sun, I spend most of my ship time at the pool and that only requires your bathingsuit and cover up.

Sounds like you've covered the evening meal dress.

Depending what your Cozumel activities are, that can be a bathing suit or capris or shorts, Most islands are casual.

I usually fold my clothes rather than roll them, but I'm a heavy packer and I fold better than I roll. You only have to pack for hot weather except what you wear from Pa.

Enjoy yourself (how silly of me) and say hello to you know who for me.

Get in touch when you get back.

Bon voyage!!!

Someone had told me that it probably wouldn't be warm enough to sit by the pool while cruising. Not true?

I'll be sure and say hello for you.

By the time you get to Cozumel, it should be plenty warm. My SIL and I cruised the Mexican Riviera in Nov and we had pool weather from our 2nd day out. Hope you do too.

Kay H are you on drugs? I am the one who is the heavy packer. Remember? You actually wore everything you packed. Say hello to you know who for me too!! I bet he only takes a carryon!! I would take a bathing suit, either a couple pair of shorts/capris and a couple of shirts/blouses. shaggy

Kay and I went to St. Martin together. I thought I packed a lot. She certainly had me beat! If you pack even more, wow. I hope that cruise ship doesn't sink in July! :D
